Isn’t everybody dreaming of a whiter smile? Indeed, but which one is the right approach? Are there risks involved? Are there precautions to be taken? With the Philips Zoom technique used in our dental office, everything is simple. Secure and quick whitening of teeth bring dazzling results.
Let your dentist Suzanne David and Dr. Marc Cloutiertell you more about this method of giving you a whiter smile…
For a beautiful smile:
A less-than-ideal coloration
Unfortunately, tooth coloration may deteriorate over the course of a lifetime, for various reasons.
Some food or liquids, like coffee or wine, stain the teeth. One can try to limit their intake but it is hardly possible to eliminate them entirely.
Some bad habits such as the use of tobacco will yellow the teeth. Bad tooth hygiene will bring about tooth decay and tooth damage and will alter tooth coloration. Sometimes, unfortunately, health problems can cause damage to the teeth; for instance, the taking of antibiotics such as tetracycline or an excessive amount of fluorine intake in early childhood.
And in addition, the natural aging of the teeth will eventually tarnish the luster of the teeth.
To remedy these various problems, our Dental Clinic uses the Philips Zoom method.
A performing technique
The David & Cloutier Dental Office uses the Philips Zoom teeth whitening technique.
The treatment is very simple. Together with you, our dentist will assess your needs and your expectations in order to suggest the best treatment for you: a whitening treatment performed directly at the clinic (approximately 2 hours) or at-home whitening with individualized fitted trays.
The teeth will become gleaming white again, but the composite resin restorations that are already in your mouth will not whiten.
For this reason, we advise our patients to see us after the whitening process to assess the need for replacement of composites whose coloration does not harmonize any more.
The results are remarkable, with teeth up to eight shades lighter. This treatment made many people who were self-conscious about the coloration of their teeth smile again.
How about you?
